The Job

Koombea is looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Developer to join our development team in Colombia or remotely in all of Latam. As a Technical Lead, you\'ll be architecting solutions for a wide array of problems. Be part of the development team, making the hard decisions, reviewing pull requests, and adding code to the solution.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, review, and maintain codebases for web applications using Ruby.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.
• Develop and maintain APIs.
• Optimize app performance for speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Design and implement data storage solutions.
• Deploy web apps to remote environments.

What You\'ll Bring to the Team

• 4+ years of experience working as a Ruby On Rails Developer
• Ability to write clean, reliable, and scalable Ruby code
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM
• Experience working with Ruby on Rails as well as libraries like Sidekiq and RSpec
• An Agile and Scrum Mentality
• Testing capabilities
• Good understanding of Linux command line
• Code versioning (Git)
• English proficiency (C1)

• Knowledge of GraphQL | Nice to Have
• Experience with back-end languages or frameworks like Node.js and Laravel would be a plus.
