Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Senior Legal Counsel based in Santiago, Chile, to support the Mining & Metals GBU. The role focuses on front-end bidding, contract negotiation, and governance, with an emphasis on Latin American projects. Requires a law degree and substantial in-house experience.

Qualifications

Law degree and admission as a lawyer, preferably in Chile or elsewhere in Latin America.
13–15 years of relevant experience.
In-house or corporate experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead front-end bidding and negotiation for high-value contracts in engineering, construction and project management.
Review, preparation and negotiation of contracts and related documents (proposals, subcontracts, joint venture agreements and confidentiality agreements).
Provide ongoing support to projects under development and governance/compliance processes.
Assist the governance processes within the business, supporting internal policies and compliance.
