Job summary

ENGIE Laborelec is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) in Las Condes, Santiago de Chile, to support consulting services and R&I projects focused on energy transition. The role covers diagnosis, monitoring, and assessment of HVAC/HVDC lines, transformers, and switchgear throughout their lifecycles, with emphasis on reliability and grid performance.

The candidate should have an Electrical or Energy engineering degree, be fluent in English and Spanish, and be willing to travel abroad.

Qualifications

Electrical or Energy engineering degree.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Willing to travel abroad and be autonomous (driving included).
Demonstrated strong technical competences in at least one listed activity.
Experience in the power industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support across HVAC/HVDC transmission line lifecycle; design, procurement, and operations analysis.
Support diagnosis and assessment of power transformers lifecycle (specs, procurement, FAT/SAT).
Assist switchgear design/procurement through design reviews and inspections.
Contribute to investigations on electrical equipment failures and performance improvements.
