Job summary
GHD in Santiago, Chile, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Design & Delivery Organisation. You will support multidisciplinary projects across Canada and North America, delivering electrical engineering solutions for municipal, industrial, water, wastewater, transportation and energy infrastructure.
Working in a collaborative global environment, you will lead electrical design, review calculations, and supervise the preparation of design packages, while mentoring junior engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in electrical design and delivery.
- Experience with MV and LV electrical systems, power distribution, substations.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian/North American design practices and standards.
- Proficient in ETAP, SKM or EasyPower software.
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects of varying size and complexity.
- Develop engineering designs for MV and LV power systems and substations.
- Prepare and review electrical calculations, reports, specs and design docs.
- Coordinate electrical designs with process, mechanical, civil, and automation teams.
- Provide construction support: RFIs, shop drawings, site inspections and commissioning.
- Mentor junior/intermediate engineers and drive design standards.
