UNESCO in Santiago is seeking an experienced driver to provide reliable and safe driving services, supporting senior staff and visitors. The role includes handling official arrivals, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring protocol and security standards are followed.

Formación

• Completed secondary, technical or vocational education.
• Valid category B driving license held for more than 5 years.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a driver.
• Excellent knowledge of Chilean traffic laws and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Drives the Director of the Office, and UNESCO staff, officials, visitors and authorized personnel using the Office vehicle.
• Meets official personnel and visitors at the airport and, when required, assists with basic visa and customs formalities.
• Maintains daily vehicle logs and coordinates maintenance to keep the vehicle in good condition.
• Arranges for vehicle inspections and repairs at the designated workshop and checks the vehicle before/after visits.
• Ensures availability of documents, insurance, registration, logs, map, first aid kit and spare parts; tracks insurance and taxes; reports accidents.
• Delivers and collects mail and documents, including visas, identity cards, driving licenses and other personnel-related items.
• Undertakes basic clerical duties such as photocopying, binding, filing and paying some office bills.
