Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Android Developer to build and evolve native mobile applications with a strong Android focus. You will design, implement, and ship features in close collaboration with product, design, QA, and iOS partners.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to CI/CD workflows to ensure reliable releases. Proficiency in Kotlin/Java, OOP, and design patterns is essential, with strong English communication in a global team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java.
• Experience shipping native mobile apps with strong Android focus.
• Experience contributing to mobile architecture decisions for scalability and performance.
• Mentorship and code review experience to guide juniors.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality Android apps using Kotlin and Android best practices.
• Build features in partnership with product, design, QA, and engineering peers.
• Define mobile architecture decisions to improve scalability and performance.
• Write clean, tested code that meets engineering standards.
• Develop unit tests and improve automated test coverage.
• Review code for quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor app performance and optimize UX.
• Collaborate with iOS counterparts to align architecture and UX.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows for reliable releases.
• Participate in technical discussions and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers through guidance and feedback.
