InterSystems offers a paid 2025 Professional Internship Program in Santiago, Chile. You will join a multidisciplinary team to work on real-world projects that leverage AI, ML, and Generative AI concepts.

As an intern you will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and networking opportunities with a flexible start date. The internship runs from 2 months to 1 year and is conducted on-site to maximize collaboration and learning.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, final year or equivalent.
• Understand AI concepts, ML and Generative AI.
• Know AI model capabilities, limitations and risks.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) to support development and analysis.
• Apply basic prompt engineering to achieve effective results.
• Critically evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and reliability.
• Understand privacy, security, bias mitigation and ethical AI usage.
• Interpret and analyze data to support automation and decision-making.
• Integrate AI tools into productivity workflows and software development processes.
• Document AI usage clearly and distinguish AI-generated content.

Program Requirements

• Availability to participate in a full-time internship.
• Ability to work on-site at our office located in Ciudad Empresarial, Huechuraba, Santiago, Chile.
• Participation in essential training sessions required to successfully complete individual projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at a university or institute.
• Possess valid student insurance for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be in the final year of a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Understand the fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI.
• Understand the capabilities, limitations, and risks associated with AI models.
• Use tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar AI solutions to support development, documentation, and analytical tasks.
• Apply basic prompt engineering techniques to achieve effective and relevant results.
• Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, validating their accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Understand principles of privacy, security, bias mitigation, and ethical AI usage.
• Interpret and analyze data to support automation processes and decision-making.
• Integrate AI tools into productivity workflows and software development processes.
• Properly document the use of AI and distinguish between AI-generated content and user-validated content.
