BairesDev is seeking a Research Engineer to develop state-of-the-art foundation models and multimodal systems. You will lead exploration of novel ML methods, applying your strong mathematical background to push the boundaries of current technology.

Work is 100% remote with flexible hours and competitive compensation in USD or local currency. You will design and implement large-scale models using PyTorch or JAX and translate research into scalable components for diverse applications.

Formación

• PhD or MS in CS, ML, or related field.
• 4+ years of ML research or software engineering experience.
• Proven track record in foundation models, multimodal systems, or RL.
• Proficiency with PyTorch or JAX.
• Excellent English communication skills.

As a Research Engineer, you will focus on developing state-of-the-art foundation models and multimodal systems. You will lead the exploration of novel ML methods, leveraging your strong mathematical background to push the boundaries of current machine learning technology.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct original research to develop novel machine learning methods, including Reinforcement Learning, VLMs, and diffusion models.
• Design and implement large-scale foundation models and multimodal systems using frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
• Apply strong mathematical foundations to solve complex problems in model architecture and training stability.
• Advance the development of cutting-edge AI solutions through rigorous experimental design and implementation.
• Translate theoretical research into functional, scalable machine learning components for diverse applications.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning Research or Software Engineering.
• Proven track record of novel research in foundation models, multimodal systems, or RL.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong mathematical foundations and experience with advanced ML methods.
• Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
