Job summary

Bluelight seeks an experienced backend-focused software engineer to design and develop high-quality applications for clients across the US and LATAM. You will work on low-latency API services, scalable RESTful APIs, and secure multi-tenant data environments.

You will collaborate with frontend developers and QA, participate in CI/CD, and leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a strong ownership mindset is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend-focused
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS and scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB (RLS)
• Secure multi-tenant environments and SQL/schema migrations
• Professional experience with React and strong testing practices
• CI/CD creation and maintenance, with exposure to AI coding assistants
• Ability to contribute to frontend work and full-stack solutions
• Experience with large, complex systems and overlap with US business hours
• Strong ownership, accountability, and client-focused mindset
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and drive to learn
