Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, monitor operations remotely, and resolve complex hardware/software issues to keep systems running securely and efficiently.

The role requires independence, deep data center expertise (Cisco/Juniper, Linux/Windows), and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.

Formación

• 3+ years in data center operations on freelance or independent projects.
• Strong experience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.
• Proficient with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Solid TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VLAN networking knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) for secure operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows-based systems, applying updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance reports for the remote team.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects.
