Reboot Monkey in Punta Arenas, Chile is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site freelance work to support mission-critical facilities.

The role covers hardware installations, decommissions, migrations, structured cabling (copper and fiber), server racking, patching, and connectivity troubleshooting. You will document work with photos and coordinate with remote NOC and client teams. Prior DC/IT infra experience required, strong English communication, and ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Formación

• Minimum 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on raised floors.
• Professional English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
