Puratos in Santiago de Chile is seeking a Research & Development Manager to lead and grow the R&D team, aligning with Group and local requirements. You will drive innovation for bakery, patisserie and chocolate, collaborating with customers and internal teams to strengthen Puratos as a partner in Food Innovation for Good.

This role requires mentoring, driving cost-efficient projects, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with food regulations, data and documentation, while partnering with

• Academic background in food science or equivalent.
• Proven experience in new product development / R&D in the international food industry.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and grow the R&D team and ensure high-performance collaboration with other business areas.
• Develop and coordinate Group and local innovations and product adaptations.
• Provide technical support to customers and guide implementation of Puratos solutions.
• Support Marketing and Sales in designing initiatives to roll out SBU strategies.
• Drive the innovation agenda with Marketing to populate the product pipeline.
• Manage R&D costs and coordinate with government tax subsidies if applicable.
• Ensure confidentiality of formulas and full technical documentation.
