Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. in Chile seeks a Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive an AI-first testing strategy for a major US banking project. You will design robust Playwright scripts in TypeScript, mentor engineers, and integrate AI-enabled testing into daily workflows.

You’ll collaborate with product, development and QA teams, align with sprint goals, and ensure high-quality releases through strong CI/CD and test governance.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in QA Automation with proven leadership of QA initiatives.
• Core stack: expert Playwright with TypeScript.
• Architecture: design and scale frameworks using POM, fixtures and utilities.
• CI/CD: integrate automated tests with GitHub and Actions pipelines.
• Test management: Jira and modern tools, preferably AIO Tests.
• AI tooling: experience using AI-assisted tools for test generation and debugging.
• Leadership: strong cross-functional communication and team enablement.

Responsibilities

• In-Sprint Automation Execution: design, develop and maintain Playwright scripts for active stories.
• AI-Driven Engineering: implement AI tools to generate tests from acceptance criteria and analyze failures.
• Framework Architecture: maintain scalable automation frameworks with reusable utilities and fixtures.
• CI/CD Integration: embed tests into GitHub Actions pipelines for fast feedback.
• Quality Metrics: oversee tests, remove bottlenecks, and promote quality culture.
• Quality Leadership & Strategy: define QA strategy and automation standards across the project.
• Team Mentorship: guide QA engineers in Playwright, TS, clean code and AI-assisted testing.
