Role Purpose:Your primary purpose in this role is to partner in the development and execution of the Chile underwriting strategy. You will support the Active Underwriter and the wider underwriting community across Everest Global Markets in delivering on that strategy.
Core Responsibilities:You will produce, underwrite, and service accounts, assisting with property underwriting and departmental workflow systems, processes, and related issues as needed.
You'll work to expand the Property portfolio in line with controls, the underwriting strategy, and guidelines, while always maintaining a focus on bottom-line underwriting profit and delivery.
You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key brokers and clients.
You will underwrite and price Property risks, across all forms of distribution, and determine the acceptability of those risks.
You’ll bind various coverages within your authority level and respond to inquiries from producers.
You’ll prepare quotations and formal proposals for both new and renewal business.
You’ll ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately, in accordance with company standards.
You will assist the Head of Property in resolving overdue items, workflow bottlenecks, and various clerical issues.
You’ll communicate effectively with management on all relevant matters, both within and outside the Unit.
You will interact and coordinate with other departments as needed.
You’ll liaise with other underwriting departments when necessary.
You’ll recommend new procedures and programs when appropriate.
You’ll provide market intelligence on the Property market, including insights into competitor strengths and weaknesses.
You’ll be responsible for complying with internal controls to properly carry out your job functions and responsibilities.
You’ll develop business through the execution of new ideas and strategies.
You have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field.
You bring 2–4 years of professional work experience.
You have advanced English language skills (required).
You possess outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and development skills.
You’re proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
