Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a senior Product Design Systems Designer to own how client design systems are built. You’ll translate brands and reference sites into a token-driven system with variables, modes, and semantic naming that a build pipeline can execute reliably.

This is a systems-first, full-time, remote role across US clients with overlap to US business hours. You’ll ship core component libraries, document the system for developers, and work across several client brands while

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design system work.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout and variants.
• A portfolio showing work across client brands with consistent underlying rigor.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for clients across the US. As Product Design Systems Designer at Blacksmith, you own how our client design systems get built. You take a brand and a few reference sites, then extract the pattern into a working system: tokens, variables, modes, and core components a build pipeline can execute without asking you questions. Precision is the job.

This is a senior, systems-first seat. Not one-off pages, not maintenance. You stand up new systems fast and get them right the first time, across several client brands at once.
