A global logistics leader is seeking candidates to build and maintain strong customer service teams in Punta Arenas. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient cargo movement, fostering relationships with local carriers, and addressing equipment concerns. This role offers a dynamic work environment focused on collaboration and service excellence.

  • Ensures staff focus on customer service and legally compliant cargo movement.
  • Builds strong relationships with local carriers for cost-effective solutions.
  • Works with team to address equipment concerns and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and reports cost savings and service failures.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Maintains a positive relationship while working closely with the staff to build a strong team through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback.
  2. Researches and recommends best practices that can be followed.
  3. Ensures staff is focused on customer service and moving all loads legally within guidelines.
  4. Builds strong working relationships with local carriers to ensure that Maersk is a cost leader.
  5. Works directly with LOC team to address equipment concerns, especially where customer needs are not being met.
  6. Works closely with operations, customers, trucking companies, and customer service to ensure container movements meet customer satisfaction.
  7. Builds a strong relationship with local terminal management to ensure efficient cargo movement.
  8. Monitors, records, and reports cost savings, unbudgeted expenses, service failures, and empty equipment inventory, along with suitable recommendations.
