Job Description

MES Consultant – Pulp & Paper Industry Work Mode: Hybrid (combination of remote and on-site work)
Project Role: MES Consultant
Location: Chile

Experience: 5–10 years
Language: English - Advanced

Role Overview As an MES Consultant specializing in the Pulp & Paper OR CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting custom MES solutions using .Net & Oracle. This role demands strong functional and technical expertise in manufacturing execution systems, with a focus on delivering value through digital transformation in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy MES solutions across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Analyze business processes and translate them into MES functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Configure and implement key modules (Production, Quality, Inventory, Maintenance).
  • Integrate MES with ERP and Quality systems using middleware tools such as Informatica or SAP PI/PO.
  • Provide hands-on support for MES systems including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and minor enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports and SQL queries to support operational and business reporting needs.
  • Assist in effort estimation, documentation, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support data acquisition and connectivity using IGS OPC DA or Kepware OPC Suite.

Technical Skills

  • Any MES Platforms:
  • Database & Reporting: Oracle, MS SQL Server (2008–2019), SSRS
  • Connectivity: IGS OPC DA, Kepware OPC
  • Integration: Experience with ERP/MES integration using middleware
  • MES-MOM Expertise: Strong understanding of Manufacturing Operations Management principles

  • Experience in Agile project environments is a plus

Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Exposure to multiple MES domains (e.g., Pharma, Automotive)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based MES deployments
