Maersk in Chile is seeking an LCL Analyst to manage export/import LCL ocean shipments, ensuring timely, accurate service and clear communication with clients and service providers.

You will handle booking, documentation, shipment tracking, KPI analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with pricing and product teams. English proficiency and strong Excel skills are required.

Formación

  • 2–3 years working experience in LCL import/export consolidations and warehousing
  • Advanced knowledge of local and international ocean processes for LCL operations
  • Intermediate English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Excel intermedíate: build dynamic tables and simple macros
  • CargoWise is a plus
  • Power BI is a plus

Responsabilidades

  • Represent Maersk to the client in a positive, can-do manner and propose alternatives when requests cannot be accommodated
  • Act as focal point of contact for internal customers to ensure smooth execution of LCL/LCL and LCL/FCL shipments
  • Receive booking requests and place bookings with origin or co-loaders for coordination
  • Open shipment files and issue bookings as needed
  • Manage the end-to-end Own Consolidation Process for all Import MLC with origin and destination facilities
  • Track shipments and update statuses in the system maintaining client informed

The LCL Analyst is responsible for managing effectively the processes for export/import LCL ocean shipments, ensuring the quality of our service, and giving timely and accurate responses to internal/external customer and service providers.

Handle all local export/import processes for LCL shipments, from shipment logging all until document turn over.

Proactively monitors and manages the end-to-end shipment process in compliance with all company procedures.

Ensures services are delivered to the customers as promised and/or that the customers are kept informed of relevant deviations.

Understands the customers’ business drivers and leverages them to continuously improve cooperation and process to the mutual benefit of the company and the customers.

Has responsibility for handling daily Customer Service tasks and interacts with both internal stakeholders as well as External Clients.

Understand claims policy and its impact on company assets and guide customers best possible through any potential claim situation

Understand and be familiar with local KPIs and act in line with set targets. Drive continuous improvements opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent Maersk to the client in a positive “can do” manner. If specific requests cannot be accommodated identify alternative solutions providing a similar result and present these to the client as a possible solution.
  • Act as a focal point of contact for internal customers, ensure smooth execution of LCL/LCL and LCL/ FCL shipments
  • Receive booking requests from Internal Customers and/or Routing Orders from agents and place booking with Maersk at origin or co-loaders for coordination
  • Opens our shipment file/ identifier (jobs) and issues bookings as needed.
  • Manage whole Own Consolidation Process for all Import MLC (Maersk Loading Consolidation) with origin, and terminal/ warehouse at destination (Contopsa San Antonio)
  • Gathers all required export documents from shippers / customers
  • Verify that the sending of both preliminary and final draft, VGM; are shipped in a timely manner within the deadlines required by the shipping lines
  • Verify the sending of AMS/ ISF formats to the American/ Canadian’s Customs
  • House Bill of Lading and Master Bill of Lading creation and sending to carrier/ co-loader
  • Coordinate with Columbus Agency local processes/ document handover/ OHBL printing
  • Send documents to internal customers for review and approval
  • Shipment tracking from sailing to arrival and update all shipment statuses in the system
  • Keep the client or their customs agent informed of document/shipment status.
  • Check accuracy of invoices from Vendors (Carriers, Trucking Companies, warehouse providers, etc.) an ensure all costs match the service quotes and initiates disputes with service providers if necessary
  • Request payments for service providers via finance department and follow up on payment
  • Timely billing with data consistency
  • Update follow-up reports daily and follow up reports of the operations in charge
  • Comply with KPIs and analyse them according to assigned clients
  • Follows standard operating procedure (SOP) for file completion.
  • Able to assist in all other areas of operations as directed by Management.
  • Work closely with Pricing Department and Product Area on any rate/price changes by the carriers or any alternate routing as needed.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 2-3 Years Working experience in LCL Import/ Export Consolidations and, warehousing (excluding)
  • Advance knowledge of local and international ocean processes and for LCL operations.
  • Advance knowledge of LCL Buyer’s Consolidation processes and policies.
  • Intermediate advance level of English (Written and Spoken)
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Excel Intermediate: know how to build dynamic tables and simple Macros
  • CargoWise is a plus
  • Power BI is a plus
  • Operational Financial Savvy (Selling rate. Buying rate, Gross Profit calculation, dispute handling and resolution)
  • Team player – Works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork
