Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Lab Analyst II to execute seed analysis and quality control, ensuring accurate results within defined Turnaround Time. The role requires experience in seed analysis and data handling using SAP, Excel, and other Windows tools.

You will support validations, audits, and continuous improvement in a full-time, on-site capacity in Chile. Join a diverse team and contribute to quality investigations, data defensibility, and supplier coordination while maintaining safety and ISO

Qualifications

BS degree in a related life sciences field is required.
Experience with seed analysis and quality control is essential.
Familiarity with SAP or similar data repositories is preferred.
Good working knowledge of Windows tools (PowerPoint/Word/Excel) is expected.

Responsibilities

Execute seed’s analysis and monitor product quality per protocols and defined TATs.
Participate in validations of new technologies, formulations, platforms, and equipment.
Receive samples, perform quality analyses, and ensure traceability of results.
Upload results to software, maintain equipment, calibrations, and vendor communications.
Create purchase requests and manage end-to-end supplies; train new staff.
Maintain ISO documents and participate in internal/external audits.
Interpret analysis results and support quality investigations.

Main purpose

Execute seed’s analysis to monitor product’s quality through defined protocols and validated techniques, ensuring accurate results and data defensibility according to established Turn Around Time (TAT).
Participate on validations to receive new Technologies (chemical and biological formulations, traits, platforms, equipment and software).

Your mission will be

Execute samples reception and quality analysis according to defined procedures and legislation to guarantee accurate results and deliverables according with defined turn around time.
Upload results in the appropriate software, to guarantee traceability and ensure accountability for data defensibility.
Verify and maintain lab equipment and manage repairs and calibration with vendors, facilities, maintenance, according to procedures and legal requirements;
Create purchase orders and acquisition request of lab items following company policy; follow up end to end process (invoice receipt) to guarantee supplies availability.
Perform trainings for new FTE and seasonal workers to ensure qualification;
Keep ISO documents updated (Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms) and formalize nonconformities and potential deviations.
Perform validations for new methods or equipment, implementation and upgrade ensuring the Quality Management of change guideline.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Critically interpret analysis results and collaborate with quality investigations, including costumer’s claims;
Active participation in Regional Quality Testing Communities;
Perform all tasks following the standards of Safety, Quality, Health, Environment, Biosafety, Stewardship and Product Supply System defined by the Company and Legal Entities.

Unlock your potencial

Technical or BS Degree in Agronomy, Biology, Biotechnology or other related areas;
Operational Experience in seed analysis +3 years;
Knowledge on seeds analysis and International testing rules;
Intermediate knowledge on windows tools: Power Point, Word, Excel;
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge on SAP data repository
Basic statistical skills;
Customer focus;
Drives results;
Ability to create an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders;
Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives;
Intermediate English level is required.
