Job summary

Albemarle Corporation is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst for a hybrid role located in Budapest. The position focuses on timely collection, dispute resolution, and process improvement within the AR function, supporting SOX controls and cross‑functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates will have a Finance/Accounting degree, 2+ years in AR, strong English skills, SAP experience, and advanced Excel capabilities. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus; a Shared Services background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, customer service, or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in English; intermediate Spanish/German/other languages is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; advanced Excel skills required.
• Shared Service experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Excel VBA and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect outstanding invoices in a timely manner while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Prepare quarterly reviews of Bad Debt Reserves and recommend doubtful accounts.
• Identify recurring payment issues, investigate root causes, and develop corrective procedures.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts, including unapplied cash and credits.
• Document and resolve payment discrepancies through effective dispute management.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance AR efficiency.
• Process customer reimbursement requests related to credit balances.
• Document account status in SAP and collaborate with Cash Applications.
• Assist Global Credit Management to analyze credit blocks and accelerate releases.
• Analyze payment issues and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Advise on potential shipment holds and related controls.
