Kapsch TrafficCom América Latina in Chile seeks an experienced HSSEQ Leader to drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across the organization.

You will develop OH&S policies, conduct audits (ISO 9001), lead teams, and ensure compliance with local regulations while promoting a preventive culture. Advanced English is required; a Bachelor's in Prevention Engineering and strong auditing/leadership background are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Prevention Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in ITS or similar industries preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Experience in internal auditing for ISO 9001.
• Ability to lead teams with a hands-on approach.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement OH&S policies and documentation ensuring legal compliance.
• Identify risks and define preventive measures to keep safe working conditions.
• Ensure HSSEQ standards compliance and drive improvements via KPIs and CAPAs.
• Plan and conduct internal and external audits (ISO 9001) and site inspections.
• Investigate incidents and deviations and strengthen prevention practices.
• Provide technical support on safety, quality, and process matters.
• Identify training needs and foster a preventive, quality-driven culture.
• Manage and improve the integrated HSSEQ system including docs and reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen the organization’s safety and quality culture.

The role acts as HSSEQ Leader at country level, combining strong OHS expertise with responsibility for process implementation, local compliance required to sustain the local certification, and functional coordination of the local team, with a hands-on operational approach.

We are looking for an experienced HSSEQ Leader to join our team in Chile! This role is critical in driving a strong safety, quality, and operational excellence culture across the organization.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and implement OH&S policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring full legal compliance.
• Identify and assess risks, defining preventive measures to maintain safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards, driving continuous improvement through KPIs, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits (including ISO 9001), as well as inspections and on-site controls.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and deviations, implementing actions to strengthen prevention practices.
• Provide technical support to operations and projects on safety, quality, and process-related matters.
• Identify training needs and foster a preventive, quality-driven organizational culture.
• Manage and continuously improve the integrated HSSEQ system, including documentation, audits, reviews, and change management.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives that strengthen the organization’s culture of safety and quality.

Your profile

• Proven experience in a prevention role (ITS or similar industries preferred).
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, with a hands-on approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Prevention Engineering.
• Experience in planning, monitoring, and resource management.
• Experience in internal auditing for ISO 9001.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Highly desirable: Experience in quality management, process improvement, and ISO 45001.
