Xe is building a cross-border payments platform to serve SMEs and consumers across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We are re-architecting the platform layer and shipping features rapidly with strong backing from Euronet Worldwide.

As a senior full-stack engineer, you will own problems end-to-end, from API design and frontend experiences to backend services, production reliability, and launch.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own corporate money movement capabilities — multi-currency accounts, VIBAN issuance, collections, and payment routing integrations.
• Lead delivery of customer-facing features across onboarding, KYB verification, multi-currency accounts, and payment initiation.

Description

Xe is a cross-border payments platform. We help SMEs and consumers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand collect, convert, hold, and send money across markets. Each year, over 300 million people use Xe for currency information and over 350,000 use us to send money overseas.

About This Role

We're hiring a senior full-stack engineer who owns real problems end-to-end and shapes how the team builds — from API design and frontend experience through to backend services, production reliability, and launch. You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship.

You'll write code that moves money in production, design the corporate banking surface SMEs depend on, and lead modernization of the platform as you ship new features.

You'll work in a small engineering team with direct access to product, design, and compliance — own architecture in your domain, lead design reviews, mentor mid-level engineers, and partner with architects and team leads on cross-domain decisions.

What You'll Do

• Design and own corporate money movement capabilities — including multi-currency accounts and balances, VIBAN issuance and collections, outbound transaction flows, and the banking and payment routing partner integrations that power them.
• Lead delivery of customer-facing features that businesses use every day, across onboarding, KYB verification, multi-currency accounts, and payment initiation.
• Own production health for your domain — including reliability, observability, on-call, and incident response — and partner with product, design, and compliance from problem framing through launch.
• Lead design reviews, set technical direction for your domain, and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) daily across the SDLC.
• Lead modernization of the platform from legacy services into the modern stack, alongside architects and team leads in your domain.

What We're Looking For

Must-have

• 6–10+ years building production web applications, end-to-end.
• Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# .NET (preferred); other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent).
• Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Writing and maintaining tests as part of how you ship.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) across the SDLC.
• Production experience on AWS.
• Strong system design and architecture experience, including service-oriented or microservices.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
• Track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and making architecture decisions in your domain.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have

• Experience building corporate or SME banking products at scale — including multi-currency accounts, FX execution, VIBAN issuance, or payment partner integrations.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery tooling.
• Frontend fundamentals: responsive design, accessibility, web performance, and internationalization.
• Experience hiring, interviewing, or onboarding engineers.
• Experience leading modernization or platform migrations.
