Patria Investments, based in Santiago, Chile, is seeking an ESG Research Analyst/Associate to join the IR team for Credit & Equities. The role blends fundamental company analysis with ESG integration, building and interrogating financial and ESG models to inform investment decisions and reporting requirements such as the PRI.

The ideal candidate will analyze company fundamentals, ESG risk factors, and disclosures, map them to leading frameworks, and contribute to portfolio monitoring,

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of experience in credit research, equity research, investment analysis, or a similar fundamental analysis role (asset management, bank, or investment fund preferred).
  • Strong financial modeling skills — able to build and stress-test credit and/or equity models independently.
  • Working knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., PRI, SASB, TCFD/ISSB, GRI) sufficient to map disclosures and identify gaps.
  • Advanced Excel; comfort working with large datasets and company disclosures.

Responsabilidades

  • Build and maintain financial models (credit and equity) for issuers and portfolio companies, incorporating ESG-adjusted assumptions.
  • Analyze company fundamentals — capital structure, covenants, earnings quality, valuation — alongside ESG risk factors that could affect credit or equity outcomes.
  • Identify and flag ESG-related risks (regulatory, reputational, environmental, social, governance) with a clear read on financial or investment materiality.
  • Support ESG due diligence on new investments: data requests, issue logs, and structured findings linked to risk, mitigation, and investment implications.
  • Map company disclosures against relevant ESG frameworks and reporting standards, identifying gaps versus investor and regulatory expectations.
  • Track sustainability, climate, and impact metrics (carbon, diversity, governance, health & safety, etc.) across the portfolio, validating data quality and benchmarking trends.
  • Maintain and analyze ESG action-plan trackers for portfolio companies; flag delays, unresolved risks, and ownership gaps.
  • Support engagement priorities and remediation/value-creation initiatives, connecting ESG actions to investment timelines and accountability.
  • Prepare data and draft materials for client meetings, reporting and other ESG disclosure obligations (LPs, regulators, internal governance).
  • Build clear ESG updates, case studies, and responses to investor due diligence requests (DDQs) that are accurate and evidence-based, without overstating claims.
  • Contribute ESG-integration narrative to investment committee materials and portfolio reviews.

Role Summary

Moneda Patria is looking for an ESG Research Analyst / Associate to join the IR team for Credit & Equities team in Chile. This role sits at the intersection of fundamental company analysis and ESG integration: the person will build and interrogate financial and credit models, analyze issuers and portfolio companies through an ESG lens, and translate that analysis into decision‑useful outputs for investment teams, investment committees, and external reporting requirements such as the PRI. The core of this role is sits analyzing company financials, credit metrics, and equity valuation frameworks, and to layer ESG risk, materiality, and impact analysis on top of that fundamental work.

Key Responsabilities
Company & Credit/Equity Analysis
  • Build and maintain financial models (credit and equity) for issuers and portfolio companies, incorporating ESG‑adjusted assumptions
  • Analyze company fundamentals — capital structure, covenants, earnings quality, valuation — alongside ESG risk factors that could affect credit or equity outcomes.
  • Identify and flag ESG‑related risks (regulatory, reputational, environmental, social, governance) with a clear read on financial or investment materiality.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Experience with credit ratings, covenant analysis, or equity valuation in Latin American markets.
  • Fluent Spanish; advanced/fluent English (reporting and stakeholder communication in English is expected). Portuguese is a plus given regional coverage.
