Job summary

Albemarle Corporation in Nevada seeks an Environmental Professional to develop and manage programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws. You will work with site operations and capital projects to support current operations and expansions on site in Silver Peak.

Responsibilities include sampling, data analysis, drafting reports, conducting audits, and implementing environmental policies while coordinating with regulators and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate environmental science, permitting, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Competency in OSHA and MSHA compliance.
• Strong communication skills, multi-tasking, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and monitoring of environmental media.
• Review and analyze data to identify patterns or problems.
• Draft letters and reports for review by Environmental Manager.
• Perform site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
• Develop, implement, and manage environmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with capital projects, operations, and corporate support functions to ensure alignment.
• Develop plans to prevent or mitigate environmental damage and coordinate emergency responses.
• Manage hazardous waste, non-regulated waste, solid waste, and universal waste within guidelines.
• Interact with regulatory agencies during inspections and information requests.
