Job summary

Bechtel’s Demolition & Decommissioning Lead will provide subject matter expertise and technical oversight to support development and execution planning of demolition activities during the Selection phase. You will serve as Bechtel's internal technical authority on demolition matters, evaluating contractor proposals and ensuring alignment with safety and project objectives.

This role requires coordinating with constructability reviews, risk assessments, and cross‑functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil, Structural, Mining, Mechanical or Construction Engineering.
10–13 years of relevant experience; 15–20 years in mining/heavy industrial construction preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise on demolition and decommissioning planning, sequencing and execution.
Review contractor demolition methodologies, work packaging and execution plans.
Support development of brownfield demolition strategies and assess constructability risks.
Identify critical interfaces, risks and ensure alignment with safety and project objectives.
Coordinate with Project Controls, Engineering, Construction and external consultants.
