This role reports directly to the CEO and Managing Partner and collaborates closely with the Executive Assistant, Operations, and Marketing teams to manage and develop Kinship Ventures' high-value relationships. Who we're looking for

The CRM Relationship Manager will be pivotal in managing investor and founder relationships, ensuring seamless communication, and optimizing our CRM systems. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records, streamlining operations, and nurturing relationships that contribute to the success of Kinship Ventures and its partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees & Manages: LPs (Limited Partners), traditional talent, high-profile relationships, partnerships & vendor relations, and key personal relationships.

CRM Management & Data Integrity

  • Manage CRM systems (HubSpot, Maps, Substack) for data accuracy.
  • Implement workflows within ClickUp to streamline tracking.
  • Train team on CRM tools and best practices.
  • Generate reports to support decision-making.
  • Conduct weekly CRM audits for data integrity.
  • Cross-reference CRM entries with Mojs contacts to eliminate duplicates.
  • Maintain data hygiene and engagement history.
  • Create CRM dashboards for relationship health and metrics.

Investor and Founder Relations

  • Serve as the main contact for investors and founders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships through regular updates and meetings.
  • Support investor relations activities like reports and presentations.
  • Schedule and document meetings and follow-ups.
  • Run quarterly engagement reports for relationship analysis.

Revenue-Driven Engagement & Business Growth

  • Identify and prioritize high-value relationships for growth.
  • Support brand partnerships, investor outreach, and revenue initiatives.
  • Track deal flow and partnership opportunities.
  • Align CRM data with marketing campaigns and outreach.
  • Manage gifting and outreach campaigns to foster relationships.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams for smooth communication.
  • Monitor performance metrics to improve efforts.
  • Assist in organizing events and networking opportunities.
  • Work with Moj on engagement strategies.

Strategy and Reporting

  • Analyze CRM data for insights and strategy development.
  • Provide regular engagement reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure CRM activity is measurable with weekly reports.
  • Develop processes for introductions, events, and network expansion.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-ups.

Core Expectations

Play to win, focusing on execution over excuses. The role involves:

  • Aligning fully with the founder’s vision and decision-making.
  • Managing high-value relationships and strategic initiatives.
  • Removing unnecessary responsibilities from the founder’s plate.
  • Anticipating problems and aligning with strategic expectations.
  • Adding expertise to reinforce strategies.
  • Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all work.
  • Over-communicating timelines and updates daily by 10 PM PST.
  • Understanding your organizational role as gatekeeper or facilitator.

In the mastery phase (9-18 months), focus on talent pipeline development, standardizing workflows, owning core functions, and acting as a proxy for strategic tasks. Follow operating principles like playing the long game, leveraging information, and proactive communication.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in relationship management, CRM, or support roles; VC or PE experience is a plus.
  • Proven relationship-building skills with high-profile stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot.
  • Proficiency in workflow optimization and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
