A leading engineering and construction company is seeking a Control System and Instrumentation Designer in Santiago, Chile. The role involves developing designs for control systems engineering, ensuring compliance with design standards, and collaborating across disciplines. Ideal candidates will have a technical or bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience along with skills in 2D and 3D CAD tools.

The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective of Doña Inés de Collahuasi’s project is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 - the first of three packages contemplated for this project - which involves the detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during the construction phase. Service for package PG1, which began on August 1, 2023, is a continuation of the study phase (FEL3) and is expected to be completed in February 2025.
In this role, you will use 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to develop designs for control systems engineering such as instrument´s location, wiring, installation details, etc. You will help construct detailed scale models, develop work plans, and review drawings for quality, accuracy, and completion. Your collaboration across disciplines will coordinate compliance and quality in the overall project design.
Requires technical or bachelor's degree related to the position and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
