Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Intern to support our Compliance Team. This role provides second-line oversight across consumer finance and payments, translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance and governance-ready documentation.

You will perform advisory work, help manage complaint handling oversight, change management reviews, and prepare memos and leadership reports to strengthen controls and integrity across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks for consumer financial products.
• 1 year of professional experience in consumer finance/fintech or regulated environment preferred.
• Experience in compliance operations/advisory, risk management, or related oversight is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advisory support to business partners on consumer finance and payments requirements.
• Maintain issue/action logs, validate remediation plans and evidence, and monitor aging to closure.
• Perform second-line oversight reviews of complaint handling and analyze trends.
• Assist with product, marketing, and third-party compliance assessments.
• Prepare governance-ready memos and leadership reports.
• Support regulatory reviews, examinations, or audits.
