Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. seeks compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one non-medical in-home care, helping seniors age in place with empathy and integrity. You will work with clients individually, delivering companionship and a range of daily living supports.

Responsibilities include meals, hygiene, light housekeeping, mobility, medication reminders, and transportation. No healthcare certification required, but prior geriatric care is a plus; drive availability a must.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or 6+ months geriatric care preferred.
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email and a mobile phone.
• Criminal background check required.
• TB test result must be negative.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull ~25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and non-medical assistance.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, light housekeeping, cooking).
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities.
• Standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
