Role

Our Account Management team is responsible for driving business growth and fostering deep relationships with our sellers on Whatnot. This role involves collaborating with some of the most influential and exciting partners in the ecosystem, building near- and long-term strategies to drive growth and innovation for sellers and partners. We seek an experienced account management leader who is a self-starter, thrives in ambiguity, and is passionate about sellers, people, and shaping the future of e-commerce.

  • Develop and nurture strong seller relationships to support the business through a consultative approach. Deeply understand sellers' businesses, growth opportunities, marketing needs, and provide executive-level coaching to help sellers achieve high growth goals.
  • Grow seller business through data-driven insights and recommendations aligned with company goals.
  • Manage a targeted book of business and develop strategies for short- and long-term success. Drive in-quarter growth and product adoption.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share insights and advocate for seller needs, clearly articulating business and revenue impacts to unlock growth.
  • Lead project management on initiatives across stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Team members in this role should be within commuting distance of our hubs in New York City, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or San Francisco, CA.

As our next account manager, you should have 5+ years of experience in sales and/or account management, especially working with top business partners, streamers, and/or creators, plus:

  • Experience growing and scaling Account Management teams, with knowledge of tools like Salesforce, AirTable, Sigma, etc.
  • Strong project management, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams and driving execution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Nice to Have
  • Experience as a Whatnot seller or entrepreneur.
  • Passion for creator communities or existing Whatnot product categories.
  • Experience buying and selling on online marketplaces.
Compensation

For US-based applicants: $134,000 - $180,000 + benefits + equity.

The salary range may include several levels; final salary depends on experience, skills, and level. This range covers base salary only, excluding benefits and stock options.

  • Benefits include flexible time off, health insurance, work-from-home support, care benefits, retirement plans, allowances for dog food, parental leave, and more.
