Job summary

Jet Aviation Basel is seeking a Workshop Technician in Finishing & Integration to assemble electrical cable looms and harnesses for VIP aircraft. You will work with the engineering team to resolve issues, perform modifications, and ensure compliance with production standards.

The role requires completing an electrical apprenticeship, aviation industry experience, and the ability to read basic wiring diagrams. Shift work and multilingual skills are a plus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Mandatory aviation industry experience.
• Able to read and draft basic electrical General Arrangement plans.
• Understands instructions and ground test procedures.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment.
• English at least A2; German and/or French is a plus.
• Comfort with computer systems and reading 3D plans.
• Willing to work in shift patterns in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles cable looms and harnesses and installs them with electrical components in furniture, ensuring compliance with production standards.
• Performs continuity, isolation, and power checks before delivery to Installation Team.
• Works actively and collaboratively within the team.
• Performs electrical cable loom and harness assembly operations per wire lists and drawings.
• Performs integration assembly using basic 2D drawings and process specifications.
• Performs disassembly of electrical components from ceiling shell components and subassemblies.
• Performs modifications on harnesses per engineering requirements.
• Prepares parts and component kits per BOM and drawings.
• Assists team members to enhance techniques of quality workmanship.

Position Summary

As an electrician at Jet Aviation, you work in a shop and play a crucial role in preparing and assembling electrical components for our VIP customer’s aircraft. You work with intricate cable looms and harnesses, ensuring they meet our rigorous production standards and specifications. Collaborate closely with our engineering team to resolve issues and perform modifications, contributing to the quality and excellence of our avionics.

Your mission

• Assembles cable looms, harnesses, installs them with electrical components in furniture and ensure compliance with production standards and specifications as instructed by his/her supervision or management on: Cabinets, Credenza, Vanity, Galley, Toilets, Bulkheads, Doors, Cargo IFE Racks, Relays module Panels, Circuit Breaker Modules, Tables, Seat, Divan and Ceiling Shell components.
• Performs continuity, isolation, and power checks before delivery to Installation Team.
• Works actively and in good intelligence within the Team.
• Performs electrical cable looms, harnesses assembly operations in accordance with wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings.
• Performs Integration assembly operations using basic 2D design/engineering drawings, notes, instructions, and process specifications.
• Performs dis-assembly operations on Electrical components installed on Ceiling shell components and other subassemblies before finishing processes.
• Performs modifications on produced harnesses in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Prepares parts and component kits before manufacturing process in accordance with drawings BOM list.
• Assists team members with great experience to enhance techniques of quality workmanship.

Your profile

• You have completed an electrical apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications (or you have equivalent experience).
• Having prior experience in the aviation industry is mandatory.
• You read, understand, and draft basic manufacturing electrical General Arrangement plan drawings.
• You understand instruction, component manufacturer instructions and ground test procedure.
• You have knowledge in various electrical tests equipment.
• You bring English skills (A2 level at least), German and/or French is a plus.
• You are at ease using computer systems in general (reading 3D plans on software will be part of your daily work).
• Working in a fast-paced environment, a high degree of flexibility will be required (willing to work in Shift Pattern).
