Job summary

DB&L Services SA in Lugano is seeking a Windows Engineer to join the Infrastructure and Security team. You will manage Windows Server estates, with Hybrid IT and Cloud integration, ensuring reliability and security.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in system engineering, strong PowerShell, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and experience with WSUS, SCCM, Intune. English required, Italian a plus; Swiss contract with flexible SmartWorking.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a System Engineer or Windows Administrator.
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience.
• VMware or Hyper-V virtualization experience.
• Familiarity with WSUS, SCCM, and Intune for patching and security.
• English required; Italian knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructures (2016/2019/2022) and related core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and updates.
• Automate tasks and repetitive activities using PowerShell scripting.
• Apply system patches, updates, and implement security policies.
• Manage user access, permissions, and group policies across hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to design, deploy and document new solutions or upgrades.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper‑V) and monitor infrastructure performance.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a System Engineer or Windows Administrator.
• Practical knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with monitoring, patch management, and security tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, Intune).
• Good understanding of network principles and security best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop will be considered a preferred qualification.
• Good communication skills in English (Italian knowledge is a plus).
