Job summary

Hydromea is seeking a Robotics Software Intern to develop and refine software for underwater robots. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team on the EXRAY vehicles, crafting control UI components and dashboards while linking software with hardware in tanks, field tests, and deployments.

You will contribute to both production and R&D efforts, focusing on bug fixing, refactoring, and performance improvements on embedded code running on microcontrollers (C) and Raspberry Pi systems

Qualifications

• Comfortable with Python for scripting, logic, and UI
• Proficient in C and C++ for embedded/onboard systems
• Experience with PyQt5, PyQt Designer, and QSS for interfaces
• Familiar with UART, CAN, I2C communication protocols
• Ability to visualize and interact with real-time data
• Git workflows including merge requests, rebases and conflict resolution

Responsibilities

• Create and expand components of Navia UI to integrate sensors, visualize analytics and operator tools
• Build data-rich dashboards for monitoring and control to push autonomy
• Contribute to behavior integration and telemetry handling for autonomous missions
