Vassar Public Schools is seeking a Transportation Support Driver to help operate and support the district's student transportation program. The role focuses on readiness to operate a school bus and providing coverage as assigned, with duties on days based on the district calendar.

When not driving, you may accompany routes or perform other transportation-related tasks to promote safety and orderly operations.

Qualifikationen

Summary of Position

The Transportation Support Driver supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the District's student transportation program. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain readiness to operate a school bus and provide route, trip, or other driving coverage as assigned.

When driving coverage is not required, the Transportation Support Driver will be assigned to accompany regularly scheduled bus routes or perform other transportation-related duties to promote safe and orderly transportation, reinforce established transportation expectations, and support the safe operation of District vehicles. Work days are based on the district calendar.

This position requires all licenses, certifications, qualifications, and training required of a District school bus driver.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Maintain required medical certification and physical qualifications.
• Successfully complete all required school bus driver training, testing, background checks, and continuing education.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Pay Rate:$15/hr for Support, $55/route when subbing for a driver
