Zusammenfassung

Vertiv is seeking a Service Engineer Thermal to perform on-site maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across Zurich and central/north Switzerland. You will troubleshoot issues, participate in on-call duties, and ensure compliance with safety standards while communicating effectively with customers and teams.

The role requires formal HVAC/VOC training, a valid B-class driver’s license, German fluency, basic English, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training in refrigeration, HVAC, or ventilation technology
• Professional experience in technical field service is an advantage
• Certified expertise for refrigerants according to F-Gas Regulation (Category I)
• Valid driver’s license (Class B)
• Independent, structured work approach and enjoyment of direct customer contact
• Willingness to travel and participate in on-call duty
• Good German language skills (written and spoken) and basic English for communication with international colleagues, documentation, and systems

Aufgaben

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems directly at customer sites (split, VRF, precision cooling, chilled water)
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in rotating on-call service for fast solutions
• Commission new systems, conduct functional tests, and explain operating elements to customers
• Work safely and in compliance with EHS guidelines and refrigerant handling regulations
• Provide customer consultation, feedback on system conditions, and clear documentation via mobile tools
