Job summary

Rieter in Winterthur, Switzerland, is seeking an Application Engineer – Technology Preparation (100%). You will support research, development, validation and lifetime testing of next-generation preparation machines, working with cross-functional teams worldwide.

The role combines hands-on machine expertise with textile process know-how and customer interaction to deliver reliable solutions through the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Technical background in textile engineering or equivalent.
• Practical experience with combing and drawframe technologies.
• Knowledge of blowroom and carding processes is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Support the identification and evaluation of opportunities for next-generation preparation machines.
• Contribute to research and development activities and trials.
• Perform machine conversions, modifications, and adjustments on research and prototype machines.
• Test and validate machine concepts, software features, and components.
• Provide 3rd-level technical expert support for preparation machines to Service Engineers.
• Plan and evaluate lifetime testing and analyze performance data.
