Rieter, a leading global supplier of textile processing machines, seeks an Application Engineer – Technology Preparation in Winterthur. You will support research, development, validation, and improvement of next-generation preparation machines, collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide to ensure reliable, high-performance solutions.

The role combines hands-on machine expertise with textile process know-how, data analysis, and customer interaction throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

Technical background as a Service Engineer or Textile Engineer.
Practical experience with combing and drawframe technologies.
Knowledge of blowroom and carding processes is an advantage.
Fluent English required; German is an advantage.

Aufgaben

Identify and evaluate opportunities for next-generation preparation machines.
Contribute to research and development activities, including trials from carded sliver to yarn.
Perform machine conversions, modifications, and adjustments on research, trial, and prototype machines.
Test and validate machine concepts, functions, software features, and components during R&D phases.
Provide 3rd-level technical expert support to Service Engineers and Customer Technology teams.
Plan, execute, and monitor lifetime testing and analyze machine performance and reliability data.
