Zusammenfassung

SICPA in Prilly, Switzerland, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Coordinator (Software/Automation) to drive validation and delivery of our coding machines' software and automation solutions. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across development, QA, deployment and operations to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

The role combines hands-on software development, validation planning, and continuous improvement, with on-site work in our lab and office, and requires fluent English

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or technical environments involving complex systems.
  • Hands-on expertise in software development (industrial software, platforms, backend or custom applications).
  • Strong coordination and delivery skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in English; Proficient in French; additional European languages are an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Drive software release validation for our inhouse coding machines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor validation and release activities for customer-specific customizations.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints with replanning or mitigation.
  • Resolve technical dependencies with development, QA, deployment and operations teams.
  • Plan and execute validation to ensure operational readiness by deadlines.
  • Maintain transparent status of ongoing validation activities.
  • Support validation, commissioning, and operational support in the office and lab.
  • Contribute to Java-based software development and tooling improvements.

Job description: For the development of our core strategic solutions, we are currently looking for a very experienced, top motivated, hands‑on:

TECHNICAL COORDINATOR (SOFTWARE / AUTOMATION)
The Technical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and driving the validation of industrial software and/or automation solutions for our coding machines. The role combines strong technical expertise, delivery accountability, and cross‑functional coordination, ensuring predictable execution, high quality, and continuous improvement of both processes and solutions.
Role :
  • Drive coordination Software release validation for our industrial inhouse coding machines
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor validation and release activities for customer-specific customizations.
  • Actively manage planning, risks, technical dependencies, and delivery constraints, taking corrective actions through replanning, reprioritization, or mitigation when required.
  • Investigate and solve technical dependencies with people in development teams, QA, deployment teams and operations. Assure availability of machines and material for validation.
  • Plan and execute validation assuring operational readiness of coding machines at expected quality on the committed deadlines. Incorporate risks, constraints and dependencies into planning to be able to commit to a delivery date.
  • Maintain a structured and transparent status of all ongoing validation activities
  • Manage and follow up on incidents, problems, and change requests raised from operations or field technicians.
  • Improve internal validation process and tooling for software release validation
  • Promote and apply a continuous improvement mindset, simplifying processes, validation approaches, and technical solutions to improve efficiency, robustness, and time-to-market.
  • Contribute to the software development of solution in Java
  • Support activities both in the office and in the laboratory, including validation, commissioning, and operational support when required.
Profile :
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or technical environments involving complex systems.
  • Hands-on expertise in software development (industrial software, platforms, backend or custom applications)
  • Good technical understanding of both software and industrial engineering domains, enabling effective coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience in delivery-driven environments, managing timelines, priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, with the ability to align stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, handle priorities, and address issues constructively.
  • Ability to take a step back and maintain a global overview while remaining pragmatic and solution oriented.
  • Comfortable working both in the office and on-site (support, validation, commissioning, troubleshooting).
  • Proactive, reliable, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Curious and improvement-driven, continuously seeking to simplify processes and solutions.
  • Fluent in English; Proficient in French; additional European languages are an asset.
