Job summary

coni + partner is recruiting a Team Leader for the Middle Office Control / Fund Operations in Zurich. You will manage data flows for funds (CISA, ETF, UCITS), ensure data quality, NAV calculations, and prepare fund reports while guiding a team and defining best practices.

You will interact with fund managers and regulators, drive process improvements, and lead automation projects within Fund Operations, including ad hoc initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance or Economics is required or strongly preferred.
• CPA or CISA certification is an advantage.
• Professional experience in fund services, middle office, or audits at a Big Four is desirable.
• Knowledge of Swiss and international funds is essential.
• Experience with FINMA, FMA, CSSF or similar regulatory bodies is helpful.
• Programming skills in Python, SQL and VBA are beneficial.
• Strong data quality, NAV calculations, and reporting experience is expected.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and process-improvement mindset is required.

Responsibilities

Team Leader Middle Office Control / Fund Operations

Your Tasks:

• Within the asset management middle office, responsible for the investment fund sector (CISA, ETF, UCITS), overseeing the reliability of data flows within the department and to custodian banks or companies providing outsourced fund services to banks or fund managers
• Responsible for concepts, specifications, analyses, best practice as well as leading and developing a team
• Responsible for supervising data quality, NAV calculations, fund key figures, cost transparency, PRIIP Key Information Documents, factsheet production and the preparation of fund reports
• Responsible for valuation decisions and involvement in committees and bodies
• Collaborating with various specialist teams and monitoring regulatory requirements
• Planning and implementing optimisation projects with internal and external stakeholders, as well as further developing and automating processes and services within Fund Operations
• Ad hoc projects.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance or Economics
• CPA or CISA as an advantage
• Professional experience at a Big Four firm a auditor or consultant in the funds sector, in the middle office of an asset management firm, or at a fund service provider
• Knowledge of Swiss and international funds
• Experience of working with fund managers and financial market supervisory authorities such as FINMA, FMA, CSSF, etc.
• Interest for IT and experience with process automation
• Programming skills, e.g. Python, SQL and VBA, as well as database knowledge
• Analytical and conceptual skills with a high attention to detail
• A proactive and communicative personality
• High-performing and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Service-oriented with the ability to pass on information
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German would be an advantage.
