You will guide daily collaboration, advance virtualization strategies, and oversee server/storage/backup environments while coordinating with cloud, network, and security domains. Fluency in German and English is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Higher education in computer science, system engineering or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience as a system engineer with a focus on virtualization and IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and, ideally, other virtualization platforms.
• Very good Windows Server knowledge and good Linux environment knowledge.
• Experience with storage, backup, monitoring and data centre infrastructures.
• Good knowledge of modern cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure (advantage).
• Experience with PowerShell, automation and infrastructure-as-code (advantage).
• Several years of leadership experience in a professional or personnel role.
• Strong communication and social skills; entrepreneurial thinking and business alignment.

Aufgaben

• Professional and personnel management of a team of system engineers and infrastructure specialists.
• Conducting employee discussions, target agreements and development measures.
• Ensure stable and secure operation of virtualisation and server infrastructure.
• Technical responsibility for VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Develop server, storage, backup and data centre environments further.
• Plan and implement infrastructure projects and migrations.
• Improve monitoring, automation, availability and performance.
• Assist with challenging technical issues and escalations.
• Develop and implement the technical infrastructure strategy.
• Plan lifecycle, modernization and migration projects.
• Collaborate with cloud, network, security, workplace and service management teams.
• Contribute to budget planning and investment decisions.
• Present technical concepts to management and customers.
