Job description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position As part of the Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE), you will be at the heart of Roche Finance. We are a global network of diverse experts representing our three divisions: Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics, and Group functions. By combining deep financial expertise with a passion for digital innovation, we are shaping the next generation of hybrid finance leaders who are uniquely positioned across the entire value chain—from R&D to Commercial—sensing business needs to bridge local operations with global strategy while driving digital transformation in finance. Through financial stewardship and enterprise insights, we empower our partners to make more informed decisions, ultimately, delivering better outcomes for patients. As the Team Lead PI FP&A, you will bring strong business acumen and technical expertise, together with the ability to lead a team within the eCoE Commercial Value Chain Network. You will work in a dynamic environment and manage business relationships in Commercial Finance and across Pharma and the Roche Group. You will meet the challenge of finding the right balance in an environment with risk and reward trade-offs.

Your opportunity
  • Executive Storytelling: Synthesize complex data into clear, compelling narratives for leadership, focusing on Pharma International performance, commitments, and variances.
  • Proactive Analysis: Use deep financial expertise and analytics to identify trends and risks early, providing strategic recommendations to Head of PI Finance and the FINET Cycle Management.
  • FINET Cycle Management: Lead all end-to-end financial cycles (Business Planning, MTOs, T0, etc.), managing the annual calendar and ensuring a "single source of truth" across Pharma International Finance.
  • Continuous improvements & scalability: Challenge the ways the Pharma International consolidation team operates and support PI Sales and OPEX SMEs. Identify standardization and automation opportunities to increase speed and value of the community's work.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate across cross functional teams to align on financial stewardship and provide high-impact presentations for key executive events.
  • Enterprise Mindset and connectivity: Act as the primary link between Pharma Division, Strategic Finance, US Commercial eCOE and FINET, providing clarity & transparency on the overall Pharma P/L context to identify the contribution of Pharma International to the broader enterprise.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise & Coach the Pharma International FP&A squad in maximizing the value of their delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Resource allocation: Partner very closely with the Commercial OBC enablers to maximize the delivery of the OBC via the right work package & resource allocation and keeping the oversight to the performance & development of individuals.
Who you are
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting paired with 5+ years of experience in a multinational financial management environment.
  • Proven track record as a Financial Manager within commercial affiliates, bringing strong commercial business and portfolio expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership and business acumen, with the ability to influence and guide decision-making effectively across all levels.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to unify, align, and empower virtual and diverse global teams.
  • Strategic and agile thinker who excels at navigating complexity, simplifying processes, and eliminating unnecessary waste.
  • Adaptable and resilient professional who thrives in fast-changing environments and inspires others with curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Fluency in English with exceptional communication skills to articulate financial and business contexts clearly.

The role is located in Basel.
