Job summary

Haut-Lac école internationale bilingue in St-Légier, Vaud, is seeking an English-speaking Teaching Assistant for a 100% maternity cover from early November 2026 to June 2027. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, working with bilingual learners in a supportive classroom.

You will assist the class teacher, support pupils individually and in groups, help supervise breaks and outings, and prepare teaching materials to keep a welcoming, well-organised environment.

Qualifications

• Native or fluent English speaker.
• Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
• Qualification in education or childcare is a strong advantage (CFC ASE, UK Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare, or a degree in education).
• Available to start in early November.
• A standard and a special criminal record extract will be required before hiring.

Your profile

• Native or fluent English speaker; French is an asset
• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
• A recognised qualification in education or childcare is a strong advantage ( CFC ASE, UK Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare, or a degree in education)
• Caring, reliable, flexible and a good team player
• Available to start in early November
