Job summary

Ärztekasse Genossenschaft in Thônex/Geneva area seeks an experienced platform engineer to install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers. You will drive virtualization, patching, automation, and migration to IaaS-managed VMs within a small agile platform team.

You should bring 3+ years of server engineering experience, strong Windows skills, scripting ability, and a solid grasp of security practices. English communication is essential; German/French are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in system/server engineering or administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration; Linux (RedHat) is a plus.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and datacenter operations.
• Scripting and automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices and patch management.

Responsibilities

• Perform patch management, hardening and lifecycle management of server systems.

• Part of the Platform team and participate in future on‑call rotation.
