Roche is seeking a Systems Engineer within the System Development & Integration group to own system-level topics from requirements engineering to interface definition and integration. You will influence MBSE adoption and explore AI-driven approaches to improve engineering workflows, joining a cross-disciplinary team at the heart of next‑gen point‑of‑care diagnostics.
You will work across fluidics, electronics, mechanics, software, and sensors to ensure cohesive system behavior, while
At Roche, we design diagnostic systems that matter when every second counts. Our Blood Gas & Electrolyte (BGE) solutions are used in critical care environments worldwide, where precision, reliability, and speed directly impact patient outcomes. Within our R&D organization, the System Development & Integration group brings together hardware, software, sensor technologies, and reagents into one coherent, high‑performance diagnostic system.
We are now looking for a Systems Engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and enjoys owning system‑level topics—from requirements engineering to interface definition and integration. If you want to help shape the next generation of point‑of‑care diagnostics, this role places you right at the heart of system architecture, cross‑functional collaboration, and innovation.
You will ensure that complex diagnostic systems—spanning fluidics, electronics, mechanics, software, biochemical sensors, and reagents—come together seamlessly. You will define system requirements, manage changes, coordinate interfaces, and support verification activities. You will also contribute to the adoption of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and explore AI‑driven approaches to improve engineering workflows.
