Zusammenfassung

Adecco is seeking a Synthetic Research Chemist for an international agribusiness client in Stein (AG). The role is a 100% temporary assignment for at least one year, centered on planning, performing and documenting multi-step synthesis, purification and characterisation of compounds on-site in Stein.

The ideal candidate holds an MSc in Chemistry or equivalent training, fluent English, and has hands-on experience with HPLC, NMR, crystallization and flash chromatography.

Qualifikationen

• MSc in Chemistry or vocational chemistry training (Laborant) with demonstrated synthesis experience.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Min 1 year of synthetic research experience in a lab setting.

Aufgaben

• Plan and carry out practical chemistry efficiently using a wide range of synthetic and purification skills.
• Perform route scouting and optimization against scale-up criteria.
• Purify target compounds using standard techniques and independently characterise their nature and purity.
• Document and report research activities in oral and written form.
• Maintain high productivity and thorough documentation in a lab-based Stein, on-site role.

For an international company in the global agribusiness market in 4332 Stein (AG) we are looking for a Synthetic Research Chemist - temp. assignment (100%), min 1 year

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and carry out practical chemistry efficiently, using a wide range of synthetic and purification skills
• Route scouting and optimization against scale-up criteria
• Independently carry out the purification of target compounds using the most appropriate standard techniques
• Independently characterise the nature and purity of synthesised products
• Perform, document and review risk assessment according to Syngenta standards
• Maintain high personal standards of productivity and documentation
• Report regularly on research activities in oral and written form
• Lab based role, on site in Stein

Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in multi-step synthesis, reaction optimisation, and standard purification/characterisation techniques (HPLC, NMR, crystallization, flash chromatography)
• Solid understanding of organic reaction mechanisms and functional group transformations
• Results-oriented mindset with strong practical skills and attention to detail in the laboratory
• Good planning skills and ability to deliver under time pressure
• Self-motivated with initiative to continuously develop technical expertise
• Collaborative spirit and clear communication skills
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• Education: MSc in Chemistry, or vocational chemistry training (Laborant) with demonstrated applied synthesis experience. PhD-degree holders unfortunately can't be considered for this role
