Zusammenfassung

BKW Power Grid in Switzerland is seeking a Sustainability Manager to advance sustainability management, derive goals and measures, and anchor sustainability strategically and operationally in the business unit.

You will drive cross-functional projects in the areas of people, climate, nature and energy, align ESG objectives, and ensure governance and reporting with the Sustainability Team.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or higher in sustainability management or related field.
• Several years of practical experience in sustainability management.
• Experience moderating workshops and building complex decision bases.

In this demanding role, you will further develop sustainability management, create transparency about goals and measures, and anchor sustainability strategically and operationally in the business unit.

Sustainability Manager (all)

Your field of impact

• Development and implementation of sustainability management for Power Grid based on the BKW sustainability framework, including deriving goals and measures
• Integration of sustainability into processes, structures and relevant decision-making processes
• Initiating, supporting and implementing initiatives and projects in the ambition areas of people, climate, nature and energy
• Transparent management of sustainability topics and goals including KPIs, prioritisation, scheduling and governance as well as deriving strategic recommendations for management
• Central contact person and active driver for sustainability topics in the business unit as well as promoting a sustainability culture through communication, participation, qualification, and advising and enabling employees and managers
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the ESG area together with the group-wide Sustainability Team

Your expertise

• University degree and several years of proven practical experience in sustainability management or a degree in sustainability management
• Several years of professional experience in a similar position; ideally in the energy sector or infrastructure industry
• Experience in cross-departmental projects as well as confidence in moderating workshops and preparing complex decision-making bases
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach
• Holistic thinking ability with the capacity to link sustainability, environment, stakeholder requirements and strategic objectives as well as to convince and motivate employees
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form and good French skills are an advantage
