Zusammenfassung

Lonza is seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader for our Stein, AG site to oversee vial filling and lyophilisation operations in a GMP environment.

You will lead an autonomous team, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, MSAT, and Quality to meet production targets. Fluent German is required, with English as a plus, and a strong track record in aseptic fill & finish preferred.

The actual location of this job is in Stein, AG, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

Lead a highly engaged team of operators and line mechanics on a vial filling & lyophilisation line, where your voice matters, decisions are made together, and you can truly shape how the operation runs. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll balance coaching an autonomous team with stakeholder management across Engineering, Supply Chain, MSAT, and Quality in a fast-paced and dynamic GMP environment. This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

• Balance a visible presence on the manufacturing floor with strategic planning responsibilities , helping the team navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing is essential, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and confidently balance operational priorities.
• Strong people and stakeholder management skills , with a collaborative, approachable leadership style and the ability to build effective partnerships across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, MSAT, and Supply Chain.
• Fluent German is required ; English skills are considered an advantage.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is highly valued ; however, candidates with strong hands-on aseptic fill & finish expertise looking to take the next step into leadership are equally encouraged to apply.
• Experience with aseptic fill & finish operations, particularly vials and lyophilisation processes, is a strong advantage , while a scientific degree is beneficial but not required.
