Liebherr Machines Bulle SA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive engine and subsystem development in the Gruyère region. You will define specifications, lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate DVP&Nr tasks while coordinating with suppliers on technologies and tear-down activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, has 5+ years in engine/hardware development, and excels in English with good French or German.

• Define technical specifications of components and key operating parameters.

• Plan development tasks and monitor progress, including FMEA support and engine test activities.
• Define, monitor and update DVP&Nr tasks; manage supplier tech surveys and tear-downs.
• Lead 8D troubleshooting for subsystems and report status to platform and product line management.

• You define the technical specifications of components to be developed and their key operating parameters
• You work in a cross-functional team to ensure that the chosen technologies and specifications match project requirements
• You prepare the planning of the development tasks
• You support FMEA processes and update and follow up on internal and external engine test activities
• You define, monitor and update DVP&Nr tasks
• You regularly work with suppliers on technology surveys, component development, and tear-down activities
• You are responsible for 8D troubleshooting for the concerned subsystem
• You define maintenance requirements for the subsystem and report its development status to the platform manager
• You report the subsystem development status and escalation topics to your line and product line management

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• You have advanced knowledge in the field of combustion engines, DVP&Nr methodology, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving
• You have more than 5 years of experience in engine and hardware development
• You have experience with engine subsystems, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components
• You have an excellent command of English and good knowledge of French or German
• You have an excellent command of MS Office
• You define yourself as an analytical thinker with strong leadership skills. You approach your work with flexibility and resilience, while remaining mindful of cost and resources
