LGT Capital Partners AG, Pfaeffikon is seeking a student intern for the Venture Capital team in Switzerland to support data processing and visualization tasks during the semester break. The role is designed for 2-3 days per week with flexibility around exams and an 18-month commitment, on-site in Switzerland near Zurich.

You will gain exposure to Python, SQL, Azure and LangChain while contributing to deal workflows and presenting weekly progress to the global VC head.

Job Description

The Venture Capital team assesses and invests in venture capital funds and co-invests directly into startups globally while leveraging proprietary data. This is a great opportunity to learn about private markets alongside studies, while applying your technical knowledge into daily work. This role is designed to be a full-time role during the semester break and will offer flexibility during studies with 2-3 working days per week and some time off during exam phase. The position is located in Switzerland (near Zurich) and requires you to be able to be on-site. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible and is suitable for candidates who can commit to this role as a student for at least 18 months.

The successful student joining the Venture Capital team will support with the following tasks:

• Back-end data processing and insights deriving (potential to broaden skills using Python, SQL, Azure, LangChain and LLMs)
• Creation and maintenance of front-end visualizations used by the deal teams
• Opportunity to learn end-to-end proposal and implementation of the technical solutions
• Weekly presentation of the new features to the global head of the Venture Capital team

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree or beginning Master degree in computer or data science, statistics, physics or software engineering
• Excellent English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment
• Strong interest in enhancing financial acumen and broadening knowledge of the venture capital market
• Good organizational skills
• Eligibility to unrestricted, full-time working visa. Kindly note: visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
