Job summary

The International Cocoa Initiative (ICI) in Geneva seeks a Finance Director to lead all financial reporting, budgeting, risk management and procurement across the foundation. Reporting to the Executive Director and Treasurer, you will drive strategic financial planning and ensure compliance with legal and donor requirements while guiding a global finance team.

Qualifications

• Master or Advanced Degree/Certification in Finance or Accounting (required).
• 10 years of accounting and finance management experience, including 3 years at senior management level.
• Familiarity with international development donors and their financial reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to think strategically while remaining operational and technically proficient.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior management and donors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to optimize financial performance, risk management and strategic position.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, procurement policies and processes.
• Lead and develop the finance and procurement team across multiple offices.
• Ensure cash management, risk controls and compliant financial operations.
• Coordinate with executive level and board for financial reporting and forecasting.
